Madison, Wiscompton

06. why do you live in madison:
I was born here

07. goals:
finish my album, finish writing my textbook, get my website up and running, graduate from school, finish working on the prototype for a new type of fader technology, and practice, practice, practice.

08. hip hop influences:
Some of my biggest influences for hiphop are some of the worlds greatest turntable crews the Invisibl Skratch Piklz (Q-bert, D-Styles, Shortkut, Mix Master Mike) who are now disbanded and The X-ecutioners (Rob Swift, Total Eclipse, Mista Sinista, Roc Raida). Some groups like Outkast, Latyrx, Blackalicious, DynoSpektrum, Deep Puddle Dynamics, Shapeshifters. But my biggest influences are my crew Dj Bize, Rawcut and my good friends Sense1, Skooly, p3096, Elusive, and Apostle.

09. most memorable hip hop moment:
The first time I heard "The wheelz of steel" by Outkast, and shortly thereafter, seeing my first dj battle between Skooly and Cresent. It made me realize that turntablism is what I was born to do.

10. what do you love about madisons hip hop scene:
That everyone knows everyone and that mostly everyone is open to working and collaborating, theres really not any elitism and pretty much all the artists act just like normal people.

11. what would you change about madisons hip hop scene:
It's hard for me to say. Things are always changing for the better and for the worse as far as mc's are concerned, although I think the direction it's taking is a good one. However, I wish there was a stronger turntablism presence in madison but there's not enough turntablists to create a demand yet probably.

12. describe the first time you “felt” hip hop:
The first time I was introduced to anything hip-hop it was probably when I was little kid, like 6 or something and my older sister (who is nine years older than me) was listening to an Easy-E tape while she was doing her hair. He was swearing and talking about ho's and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It blew my mind to think that music like this existed because I'm a little kid thinking that swearing is really bad and this guy is swearing every other word, it was awesome. It changed me forever, that's for sure.

13. philosophy on life:
I don't think I have lived enough life to have a philosophy on it yet, but I really just try to be the best I can at everything I do. I imagine your success is only a matter of time.

14. other interests beyond hip hop:
I listen to many other varietys of music, and I'm pretty good with computers.

15. additonal comments:
I really wanna thank brody rose for providing the service and the information available from madisonhiphop.com. He is doing a real service to our local community and our culture. I don't know how many people have come up to me at shows because they got the information from this website. It doesn't suprise me that he'll probably be the first to do many things, and he will always have my respect. One love. Peace.
