06. why do you live in madison:
School-I soon hope to abandon this hellhole.  This city hates Black people, latinos, Hip Hop heads(white ones too), and is making it damn near illegal to play this music or throw an event.

07. goals:
Secure a future for my family and myself.  Continue to work in the rap music industry and advance Hip Hop Culture.  Develop my skills and my mind to meet and overcome all obstacles and hatred.  Listen to more Bob Marley, Hector Lavoe, Femi Kuti, Maze, and Earth Wind and Fire records.

08. hip hop influences:
Absolutely anything by KRS-One & BDP, WU-Tang Clan (the greatest rap group ever), Biggie, 2pac, Scarface & Geto Boys, MC REN, Ice Cube, Kam, Gangstarr, Public Enemy, Bobbito, Supercat, Bounty Killer, Shabba Ranks, Afrika Bambaattaa, Lil Jon & the Eastside Boys, Luke, Pete Rock, Mobb Deep, Tragedy, Duck Down & Beatminerz.  DJ Scratch, Kay Slay, Triple Threat, Beat Junkies, Rob Swift, Roc Raida, Kid Capri, Doo Wop, Tony Touch, Twilite Tone, DJ Pharris, Dj Jelly, etc.- RESPECT TO ALL DJ'S OF ALL STYLES.  Big up to RSC, Zulu, Speedy Legs, Crazy Legs, Kool Herc,  all Dancehall artists for showing us the way, James Brown and The JB's-Clyde Stubblefield,  Fania All Stars, etc.  All the so called "gangsta" rappers for showing NYC that fools could do more than just rap about parties or dissing each other.  Freddie Foxxx and MOP for not being afraid to speak honestly about this cakeboy ass music that passes for Hip Hop nowadays.  And anything-even the bad stuff from Nas, Jay Z, Diddy, is cool with me.

09. most memorable hip hop moment:
GrandWizard Theodore's Birthday Party in NYC at SOB's.  No egos and no corny ass industry nonsense.  Everybody I respected was there, Premier, Diamond D, Fabel, Cristina Veran, Harry Allen, Lord Finesse, Bonz Malone, Bambaattaa, Cold Crush (r.i.p. Money Ray), Jazzy Jay, etc.  They had all heard about the Madison Hip Hop Conference and they showed a sick amount of love for what we were doing.

10. what do you love about madisons hip hop scene:
Everybody is really hungry and idealistic about the music.  So the passion is there, regardless of egos or beefs.

11. what would you change about madisons hip hop scene:
This racist ass ALRC/Police Force/Mayor's Office/Downtown Arts District.  They've effectively pushed youth of color out of downtown Madison so they won't "scare" any white downtown shoppers or employees.  Furthermore, they've intimidated every club and bar owner into chasing out any Hip Hop, or Hip Hop identified patrons-i.e. people of color.  As a result, the events that do go on, go off disorganized and under an intense amount of scrutiny from the police.  In some respects, we did it to ourselves by acting like jack asses in places that don't even want us to begin with.  Fuck Madison.

12. describe the first time you “felt” hip hop:
I was like 5, I saw B-Boy and graf culture in Madison.  Before that I only saw it on TV and that was the only place you saw Puerto Ricans so I immediately identified.  There was a crew called the HBO's and I wanted to be down so I told the dude who ran the crew.  He was like, "that's cool and all, but you should just start your own thing".  From then on I respected that, and I brought Hip Hop to Madison, on my own terms as I saw it.

13. philosophy on life:
Don't be afraid to piss people off by being honest, because it is more self destructive to hold your real feelings inside.  Be confident in what you do and demand loyalty from those who say they're down with you.  You can judge the mentality of an individual by their 5 main friends, so surround yourself with good people.  Above all, put GOD first and be peaceful in your actions and thoughts, never act out of hatred or malice.  Let God live through you, that is the answer to eternal life and peace, he has his hand over all of this and he kills us all in the end if we don't ride with him.
